Company 9 Station Profile
The single engine housed at Company 9 is the second busiest in the city, serving the northwest district with a high volume of calls. The crew typically consists of two firefighters—1 Firefighter and 1 Driver/Operator—and when available, an officer rides on Engine 9.
Company 9 is also home to Hazmat 1 and our two designated Reserve Engines, Engine 2 and Engine 4, making it a key hub for both specialized response and backup apparatus readiness.
Known by some as the “North West Express,” Company 9 operates out of the city’s only single-story fire station. It is the last active station of three sister stations originally built with identical single-story designs and footprints. While the other two stations have since been retired or repurposed, Company 9 remains an important fixture and proud part of Local 735.
